FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM WORKING WITH INSPIRED FOR THERAPY SERVICES?
You can expect warmth, empathy, and an evidence-based approach to your identified needs. Therapy services are provided on an individual basis (e.g. group therapy is not currently offered). Logistically, the first session includes a discussion of: confidentiality and the limits of confidentiality, Inspired policies, an overview of therapeutic approach, a discussion of what brings you to therapy, and next steps to take. Essentially, the first session is laying the foundation and getting to know each other to determine if we are a good fit. If it is agreed upon that we are a good fit, we would develop a plan for the scope of our work together.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR CONSULTATION AND THERAPY SERVICES?
Given the unique needs of individuals and organizations, our rates are variable for consulting services and will be determined after receiving your completed information sheet and free 15 minute phone consultation.
Rates for therapy are aligned with the degrees and experience of the provider and are $200 per 45 minute session. There is no sliding scale for services. However, Dr. Sconyers is a Lyra provider which means that prospective clients in Missouri, Illinois, and Virginia who are benefit-eligible and employed with a company that is partnered with Lyra are able to access therapy services with Dr. Sconyers at no cost to them. If you are not sure if your company uses Lyra as their EAP (Employee Assistance Program) provider, please indicate your company name when you reach out to us and we will let you know.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN CONSULTATION SERVICES?
Consultation and therapy services are tailored to the unique needs of the individuals and organizations. Included here is general information about our consultation services. Please call or email for additional information.
DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?
No. This is for a number of important reasons. Not accepting insurance allows us to have a smaller caseload and offer specialized service that is tailored to your needs. We are able to work with you without the influence of another party that can potentially dictate the frequency of sessions and therapeutic modalities. Further, we would not have to report out to the insurance about your health information. Finally, this allows us to focus on our care for you and our self-care (an ethical imperative in the practice of counseling psychology), which ultimately allows us to show up better for you. If you wanted to pursue “out of network” benefits through your insurance provider, let us know immediately upon expressing interest in therapy and you will be provided with documentation that you would need to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement from them.
Again, Dr. Sconyers is a Lyra provider which means that prospective clients who are employed (or have a caregiver or spouse employed) with a company that is partnered with Lyra are able to access therapy services with Dr. Sconyers at no cost to them. If you are not sure if your company uses Lyra as their EAP (Employee Assistance Program) provider, please indicate your company name when you reach out to us and we will let you know.
WHY IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY?
At Inspired Consulting & Psychological Services, we value your time and set aside time that is solely reserved for you. Thus, we require 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of $100 will be charged to the card on file. Additionally, if you no-show for an appointment, a missed session fee of $100 will be charged.
DO YOU PROVIDE IN-PERSON SERVICES?

It should be noted that, due to recent PSYPACT legislation, Dr. Sconyers may be able to provide telehealth in additional states.
